Bloomsburg Rolls to 9-0 Win in Field Hockey

SLIPPERY ROCK -- The Bloomsburg University field hockey team rolled to a 9-0 win over Slippery Rock University on Saturday.

Four players, Ashley Heckard (Millerstown/Greenwood), Jamie Vanartsdalen (Huntington Valley/Lower Moreland), Brieann Wolfe (Perkasie/Pennridge) and Ashley Miller (Shermans Dale/West Perry) each scored two goals in the game for the Huskies. In addition, Chelsea Due (Pen Argyl/Pen Argyl) also added a goal for Bloomsburg.

Bloomsburg led 3-0 at halftime, then put the game out of reach with six second half goals. In all, the Huskies outshot the Rock, 48-0.

Bloomsburg, 11-1, 7-1 in the PSAC, plays at Millersville on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
